• Author of two front page articles for features section regarding an administrator leading an optical clinic in Honduras and a piece that highlighted how war affects military families.
• Edited five articles. Offered ideas for future articles that were used such as alumna named Virginia Poet Laureate, Metrorail project panel meeting on UMW campus and Professor Rao and his children
attended Honduran mission.
• Conducted more than twenty interviews with university vice presidents, administrators, faculty, coaches and staff.
• Met all deadlines and received recognition for best lead, most descriptive language and most balanced reporting.
